We have a special interest
in the Anglo-Nubian Breed, a rarer breed in New Zealand than our Saanens,
they are listed with the Rare Breeds Conservation Society
of NZ (Inc)
We like to breed strong Anglo-Nubians with good conformation and milking
ability, it has been a challenge as the breed in New Zealand tend to have a
lower volume of milk (although higher in milk solids) than many of the
Swiss
breeds.
We hope to further improve on
milk volume and size of
the goats along with consistently strong breed definition with the
addition of our new stock from Australia |

Our Foundation Buck, NZCH Birdwood Dubai has made his mark amongst our young
stock, producing good strong Anglo-Nubians with
good bone and conformation and has improved upon udder conformation and milk
production in his daughters. He
sadly passed away in October 2007. We have semen in storage (Available for
sale in NZ) which we will continue to use as now his daughters are maturing
and showing so much quality we are thankful we have the option to still use him as a sire.
We have semen from many bucks-past and present in storage for our use or for
sale. Semen needs to be collected differently if it is to be exported
overseas. Each country have different conditions under which the semen must
be collected so it will be collected especially for you should you wish us
to export it to your county. Please email an enquiry for more details.
He was quite a character and always drew
a crowd when he went to shows. He placed
consistently well in the show
ring and achieved his
Advanced Grand Champion Status (one of only two ever in NZ)
and was awarded a New Zealand Champion title, the first
ever to achieve this award, currently
holds the NZ record for the Anglo-Nubian Buck gaining
the most Champion Challenge wins.
